Vehicle tracking is a must have for any fleet owner or manager. Vehicle tracking allows you to know the position of your vehicles in your fleet at all times and serves as a hub of important information that can aid in the recovery of stolen vehicles, vehicle stops and departures, time management and a host of other important information.
The standard system is equipped with a GPS and 3G connectors that both feed into the brain of the tracking system. This brain has a sim card slot that constantly uploads information to the server which is accessible with most devices that have an internet connection.
The data is also stored locally on your computer that allows for easy access when not connected to the internet or if internet connections are slow.
Vehicle tracking systems are commonly used by fleet operators for fleet management functions such as fleet tracking, routing, dispatching, on-board information and security.
Several types of vehicle tracking devices exist. Typically they are classified as “passive” and “active”. “Passive” devices store GPS location, speed, heading and sometimes a trigger event such as key on/off, door open/closed. Once the vehicle returns to a predetermined point, the device is removed and the data downloaded to a computer for evaluation. Passive systems include auto download type that transfer data via wireless download. “Active” devices also collect the same information but usually transmit the data in near-real-time via cellular or satellite networks to a computer or data center for evaluation

Temperature Monitoring
Nashua temperature monitoring offers a low cost, accurate method to
live display the temperature in cold chain applications. The software
will display the temperature of the load for the entire day, ensuring the
maximum allowable temperature is never exceeded. Of course the
device temperature is also constantly visible as well.
Vehicle detail
All vehicle details can be loaded on the system, including make,
model, usual driver, start odometer and start hours. By adding the service
interval you can keep an eye on mileage and know when the vehicle is
due for a service without even going near it. Perfect for those monitoring
and managing their vehicles remotely. Vehicle license expiry date can
also be logged so the system will automatically notify you before the
license expires. Adding a photo of the vehicle allows the admin staff to compare
fines to actual vehicle appearance.
VERIFIED LIVE TRACKING
Knowing where your vehicles are, is key to your operational safety,
efficiency and service offering. While other systems only represent the
last known position, we will constantly confirm how old the data is,
making you 100% sure that you are viewing real time positions. During
live tracking one can view multiple vehicles and be notified of them
leaving or entering predefined zones via on-screen alert or email.
USER-FRIENDLY SOFTWARE THAT WORKS
The software is designed to do it all for you, and with the easy to use
button interface, accessing all the features, is now just a click away. All
the trip information can be viewed as a list of events in a spreadsheet
format, a series of graphs representing speed and acceleration or as a
route on a map. Any report can be generated either using the custom
reporting function or by exporting the data to an Excel spreadsheet.
Limitless ability to add vehicle details calculates fuel costs, log business
mileage. The system will produce a full electronic logbook that can be
used for SARS tax claim purposes. Track driver activity and much more
are all features of the easy to use software.

All vehicle trip data is stored on your local PC, so slow, frustrating
internet browsing is a thing of the past. All you need to do is make a
brief connection to the internet to download the tiny strings of position
information to your local PC. Then all the trip processing, route building
and vehicle data is stored for your immediate access. Viewing the data
and compiling reports can be done completely offine. Not only will you

Driver Identification
Using the reliable Dallas Tag i-button system you can identify who drove
which vehicle and when. During live tracking the current driver will
be displayed. Historic reporting makes it possible to identify who was
driving in the event of a speeding fine. This is a requirement for AARTO
procedures.
How it works
This option is more advanced than any of the previously mentioned camera systems. Exchanging longer recording for a higher amount of angles ensuring safety, ideal for inner-city and medium distance travel.
STANDARD VEHICLE TRACKING SETUP
This setup is ideal for inner-city vehicles as well as long-distance vehicles. Allowing the owner to have 24/7 access to the vehicle’s location and status.
The 3G (3) and the GPS (2) both feed into the Black Box (1) which is equipped with a simcard that feeds all the locale information directly to the user’s devices.
This setup can be upgraded to include fuel monitoring as well. See full setup.
